WARNINGS

Dust and mist created by power sanding, drilling, grinding, and other construction activities contains chemicals and residue from building materials and tools that are known to cause adverse health effects; cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm.

Some examples of these chemicals and ingredients are:

Lead from lead-based paints.
Crystalline Silica from bricks and cement
Arsenic from chemically treated wood
Chromium from chemically treated wood
Tungsten Carbide Dust from carbide and carbide tipped products
Cobalt Dust from carbide and carbide tipped products
Tantalum Carbide Dust from carbide and carbide tipped products
Chromium Carbide Dust from carbide and carbide tipped products

Risk from exposure from these varies, depending upon how often this type of work is performed and the amount of individual exposure.  To reduce the amount of exposure to harmful chemicals and materials:

• *Work in a well ventilated area.

• *Avoid breathing in dust or mist.

• *Use approved methods of dust and mist control.

• *Avoid prolonged skin contact with dust or mist.

• *Consult the power tool manual for proper use of the power tool and safety equipment requirements.

• *Use approved safety and protective equipment:

  Gloves - Shields - Dust Masks - Protective Clothing - Tool Guards - etc
