Concrete Screw Bits are used to pre drill hole used for self tapping concrete anchors and are specifically designed for use with TAPCON ® concrete screw anchors. When using self tapping concrete anchors, such as TAPCON ® concrete screw anchors, pre drilling the right size hole is critical. Make the hole too large and the self tapping concrete anchor screw will fail to achieve maximum holding power and possible fail to hold completely. A small hole will result in the self tapping screw anchor binding in the hole, twisting of the head, breaking or snapping off above or below the surface. Each bit is precisely sized to match the required tolerances necessary to achieve maximum holding power from self tapping concrete screws. Holes that are pre drilled using the properly chosen Tang or SDS PLUS ® 5/16" Hex Combo will prevent physical damage to the anchor caused by the anchor bind in the hole. Constructed of hardened alloy steel with a close tolerance carbide tip, it is available in both Tang style shank and SDS PLUS ® 5/16" Hex Combo Shank.

SDS PLUS ® Hex Style TAPCON ® ® rotary hammer drill bits are specifically designed for use with TAPCON ® ® concrete screw anchors.  Each bit is precisely sized to match the required tolerances necessary to achieve maximum holding power from self threading concrete screw anchors.  These SDS PLUS ® Hex Style Drill Bits have a 5/16" hex immediately below the shank that fits directly into the concrete screw anchor installation tool.
