When power outages caused by severe weather, lightning strikes or high winds, damage to line transformers is prevented by in-line fuses. The Fuse Barrel Reamer was developed to clear the blown fuse from the barrel. The carbide tipped reamer quickly and efficiently clears the entire fuse barrel. A new fuse can then be easily installed into the fuse barrel and power is restored without replacing the entire fuse barrel. Using the Fuse Barrel Reamer can dramatically speed up power restoration while saving the cost of replacing the entire fuse barrel.
